LaLiga: Ancelotti drops Bellingham for Getafe vs Real Madrid fixture

Published on April 23, 2025 at 07:15 PM

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has left Jude Bellingham out of his starting XI for a LaLiga fixture against Getafe on Wednesday night.

Bellingham has been named among the substitutes for the match.

Los Blancos go into the crucial league game seven points behind league leaders Barcelona, but with a game in hand.

Ancelotti's decision to leave Bellingham out could be with an eye on this weekend's Copa del Rey final against Barça.

Bellingham has not quite hit the heights of his debut season at Madrid but has still scored 13 goals and provided as many assists for the Spanish giants in 2024–25.

If Madrid drop points against Getafe, their title defence could be all but over.

Although they have six games remaining, Ancelotti is under pressure and could leave the Bernabéu in the summer.
