Newly appointed Sevilla head coach Joaquin Caparros believes Chidera Ejuke has the quality to become an important player for the club.
DAILY POST recalls Caparros was named head coach of the LaLiga club last week following Garcia Pimienta's sacking.
Ejuke, who arrived the Rojiblancos on a free transfer last summer has struggled to hit the ground at the club despite his huge pedigree.
The Nigeria international has scored two goals and registered one assist in 22 league appearances for Sevilla.
He has also been hampered by a hamstring injury which sidelined him for around two months.
Caparros is however expecting big things from the winger despite his struggles.
“He (Ejuke) has quality. In the first half of the season, when he was here, he was a decisive player,”; Caparros was quoted by Futbol fantasy.
“I’ve seen him in games where he’s been decisive for our team. Therefore, he has to come back; he has the confidence of me and the entire coaching staff.”;
