LaLiga: Sadiq rescues point for Valencia against Rayo Vallecano

Nigeria forward, Umar Sadiq rose from the bench to help Valencia draw 1-1 against Rayo Vallecano at the Estadio de Vallecas on Saturday.

Valencia went behind on the stroke of half time with Cesar Tarrega scoring an own goal.

Sadiq was introduced in the place of Andre Almeida in the 66th minute.

The 27-year-old fired home the equaliser for Los Che 16 minutes from time.

The Nigerian has now scored five goals in 10 league appearances for Valencia this season.

Carlos Corberán's side are now unbeaten in their last seven league games, their joint longest unbeaten streak since December 2021.
