LaLiga: Two players to leave Real Madrid for free

Published on April 12, 2025 at 03:46 PM

Real Madrid is ready to allow Luka Modric leave the club as a free agent this summer.

Modric has publicly admitted he wants to finish his career with Los Blancos.

But according to AS, the La Liga champions are not considering offering the 39-year-old a new contract.

Modric's deal runs out at the end of this season and he could be set for an exit.

It is understood that teams in Qatar are monitoring the situation closely.

Modric recently became the oldest player to appear and score for Real Madrid, and currently sits ninth in all-time appearances for the Bernabeu outfit.

Lucas Vazquez also finds himself in the same situation with Modric. His current deal expires in June and Madrid are unlikely to offer him fresh terms.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold set to arrive as a free agent, Vazquez will also no longer be needed as much as he has been.
