CHELSEA have one foot in the Conference League semi-final after breezing past Legia Warsaw in the first leg.

Christopher Nkunku missed a penalty but it made little difference to the Blues as second half goals from Noni Madueke and Tyrique George sank the Poles.

Chelsea dominated the opening exchanges but were unable to break down the stubborn hosts.

That is until the misfiring Cole Palmer was hauled off at half-time, with his replacement Madueke scoring twice.
