Lidl shoppers rush to buy new 89p bakery treat in time for Easter – but fans are divided

LIDL shoppers have rushed off to buy a new 89p bakery treat in time for Easter but it has left fans divided.

The retailer’s bakery has a cult following for its delicious bakes and was crowned the nation’s favourite in 2024.

Earlier this month they launched which featured a brownie base and a layer of chocolate covered in pieces of colourful crushed Mini Eggs.

Shoppers went crazy about the new Brownie, with the only complaint being they were too moreish.

“These are absolutely amazing!!!’ said one fan.

Another wrote: “Had one yesterday, best brownie EVER.”

A third added: ‘I didn’t think they could get much better.’

Now, the baker has added another new treat just in time for Easter – the Cinnamon Bun Blondie – and it won't break the bank at only 89p.

Food blog Newfoodsuk shared the about the item and it sparked a huge reaction from fans.

However, not all of them positive. One shopper said: “Bought 2 today!! They’re awful!!Also under cooked!!”

Another added: “They are very undercooked and only taste of cinnamon.”

“Vile, and taste like rubber” said another shopper.

One more shared their disappointment: “Weren’t great imo. Tasted like artificial sweeter.”

However, another shopper came to ‘s defence and said: “I had one on Friday it was gorgeous.”

“It was perfect and tasted lovely” added another happy shopper.

While another satisfied shopper exclaimed: “Lovely like cookie dough!”

The sweet treat was advertised as a “limited offer” and we have contacted to find out when the offer may end but for now it is still under wraps.
