The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII, has declared that it is painful to lose two patriots in three days.

CCII made this declaration while reacting to the death of a former governor of the state, Victor Omololu Olunloyo, and a former gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Chief Yekini Adeojo.

DAILY POST recalls that

Olunloyo, on the other hand,

CCII President General, Chief Sulaimon Ajeniyi Ajewole, while reacting, described the death of the duo as painful.

Ajewole, in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of CCII, Mr. Kola Olomide, however, noted that Ibadan remains undaunted.

He said, “What a loss! Coming just within three days of the demise of another quintessential Ibadan leader, Alhaji Yekini Adeojo, made our grief even more painful.

“But God knows best. Ibadan remains undeterred. Both of them have left footprints on the sands of time, unforgettable legacies that we are proud of.

“May God grant both eternal rest and grant the families and our beloved city the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

“We must always be conscious of our heritage and brace up to continue our giant steps to make Ibadan greater. Adieu, Our Trailblazers.”
