Whitney has received huge backlash online

The TV star, who finished as a runner-up on the ITV2 dating show alongside partner Lochan Nowacki, took to Instagram to show screenshots of the horrific DMs she had been receiving containing vile racist language.

She was one of the many celebrity contestants on the programme alongside TikTok star Millie Jo McLoughlin, podcaster and sister of Anna Vakili, Mandi and rapper DDG.

But now, Whitney has been forced to quit social media after a viral clip sees her laughing at her co-star Patrice Evra.

French former pro footballer Patrice is heard responding to some questions asked by an interviewer.

But midway through what he’s saying, Whitney bursts out laughing.

Patrice is heard saying: “I love new adventure, this is the second show I did and I did one before...”;

But Whitney then laughs, much to the confusion of her co-stars.

The host asks: “Why you guys laughing?”; to which Patrice responds: “Because they are too conf... every time I laugh, even when I’m serious, they’re laughing, especially Whitney.”;

Whitney is then asked again why she’s laughing at ‘Uncle P,’ as Whitney fails to contain her laughter once more.

Much to the shock of her co-stars, Whitney responds: “Cause his English is amazing.”;

Patrice looks shocked as he lets out an: “Oh,”; and her co-stars look on in disbelief.

Everyone rushes to his defence, as one person says: “I understand everything you’re saying.”;

Another adds: “Your accent is one of the most attractive in the world.”;

And another cast member interjects: “Uncle P, you speak six languages and no one else can say that here.”;

Whitney continues to laugh though, and says: “Uncle P is so funny, Ha.”;

The video has gone viral on TikTok, leading many people to comment on Whitney’s comments.

One person wrote: “The disrespect from Whitney is unreal!!! First class bully.”;

A second penned: “Nah she must have been paid to act like this wth,”; and a third added: “I refuse to believe Whitney can watch this back and believe she did nothing wrong.”;

And another said: “Why did she say something disrespectful so casually.”;

The backlash over Whitney’s comment comes after shared up to five different screenshots from viewers of Inside who had chosen to send her horrific messages, including many filled with racial slurs.

Flying Eze has chosen not to repeat any of the horrific messages.

The TV personality went onto address the racism in a lengthy post as she addressed her time on the new TV hit.

Whitney said: “I’d like to take the time and address something important after the airing of Inside on Netflix. I was a contestant on the show, where the goal was to win a million pounds while navigating the challenge of saving and spending money.

“I was a ‘spender' by nature, which added some fun and drama to the show, but it’s important to remember that everything you saw was a part of the game, designed for entertainment.

“I’ve received a mix of reactions—some positive, some negative. But what I’ve encountered more than anything is the reality of racism.

“I understand that being in the spotlight briny criticism, but what I’ve experienced the past few days goes beyond criticism. This evil, hatred and pure racism and should not be tolerated.

“The hateful messages, the death threats, and the unjust treatment I’ve received are not only hurtful, but they also serve as a reminder that racism is still very much embedded in British culture.”

The star continued: “This isn’t just about a TV show; it’s about the way society can sometimes respond to women like me, women who may stand out or don’t fit a certain mold of being cute and mute.

“For those of you who have supported me, thank you. Your love and encouragement keep me grounded.

“To those who have tried to tear me down, I want to remind you: your hate doesn’t define me. It only fuels my determination to grow and to be unapologetically myself.

“I had the best time, however my journey has come to an end. Love me or hate me, either way I know you were entertained. You’re welcome x.”

Sharing his support for his girlfriend amid her horrific trolling, Lochan commented on the post: “So proud of you baby! It’s a shocking and disgusting world we live in sometimes!

“For everyone that knows you knows you are kind and pure hearted! And I for one was definitely entertained! I love you! Always on top queen! Here for you always.”
