Luke Littler’s insane averages from incredible start to the season revealed with only one rival darts star topping him
Published on March 27, 2025 at 12:12 AM
LUKE LITTLER has put up some insane performances since becoming the darts world champion earlier this year.
The Nuke exploded on to the world stage at Ally Pally 15 months ago, but while some may have faded after such a bright start Littler has continued to grow better and better.
Luke Littler is enjoying a stunning darts season as proven by his averages
That is clear to see from his averages almost four months into the year.
Littler, 18, has played 52 games so far this darts season.
He tops almost every single category with regards to high averages, including hitting 105+ averages no less than 16 times already.
That is double the next best player in Gerwyn Price, while Littler's 38 ton or more averages give him 16 more than the next best player, World No1 Luke Humphries.
Littler has also landed the most 90+ averages and highest percentage of 100+ checkouts at 73.08 per cent.
In fact, only one player who has played a similar number of games has managed to outdo him; Iceman Price.
Price, who has played 50 games this season, has enjoyed a great start to the year in his own right and can actually boast going equal to Littler and then even beating him in two categories.
Littler has to share the pedestal for the most 110+ averages with Price due to both scoring four so far this season.
However, the 40-year-old Welshman has a better record than Littler on percentages of 90+ checkouts.
Price had a 98 per cent rate compared to Littler's 96.15 per cent.
Three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen also boasts a better 90+ checkout rate than Littler, but has played 18 games fewer than his teen rival.
One place Litter is certainly not being outdone is in the darts Premier League, which he currently leads as he looks to defend his title.
Littler is averaging 104 across all legs played in the 2025 tournament, but this increases to an unbelievable 114 in legs when he is throwing to win the match.
After missing the European Tour at the weekend, Littler will be back in action in the Premier League tomorrow night.
Priestly, 74, said: “Luke Littlersays he didn’t pick up his darts for a week, but he probably doesn’t have the time to practise.
“They have such a full schedule with midweek and weekend competitions usually, he has been racing around hotels in different cities and he probably doesn’t have the time.
“He is playing so often that might mean he doesn’t need to practise, but he does need to be careful he doesn’t burn out.
“Maybe at some point he will need to take a break.”
Only Gerwyn Price can top him in any category
