LUKE LITTLER has sent a cheeky dig towards Michael van Gerwen – after landing an epic Premier League nine-darter.

“I go, ‘We'll have 9, Michael'. Because that's what we have every time. And I always win.”

“I was being honest the other week in my interview about not picking up a dart from the previous tournament.
“We have the Premier League on a Thursday and usually, we’re then flying somewhere on the Friday for an international tournament, so you’re playing Thursday to Sunday.
“On Monday and Tuesday, we tend to have pro tours and then back to the Premier League on a Thursday. My practice is playing in these tournaments every week.”
Littler, 18, is the defending Premier League champion.

Littler said: “I never really say I’m the best in the world, but I am performing at a really good level at the moment.
“I'm sitting comfortably at the top of the table now, so hopefully I should be even more settled going into the next few weeks.”
