It will shut each night between junction 15 at Swindon and junction 14 starting today until Friday, March 28.

These closures will be in place from 9pm until 6am while resurfacing work is completed.

Drivers ave been urged to find alternative routes during the closures.

And it is not the only update for motorists during this time period.

Throughout the week, there will also be overnight closures near Wiltshire between Bath and Bristol, National Highways has warned.

It comes after part of the M4 was closed due to the fire near Heathrow Airport last week.

All southboundtrafficbetween the M4 and J4A junction was stopped due to theincident.

The blaze broke out at an electrical station on Nestles Avenue, in Hayes,West London,at around 11pm on Thursday night and sparked a major power outage.

Meanwhile, the M4 was also shut over the weekend after a fresh batch of scheduledroadworkscame into effect.

The A432 Badminton Road bridge in South Gloucestershire, which crosses above the M4, has been closed since July 2023.

The overbridge on the popular motorway was demolished after being closed to the public for two years.

It comes after concrete on the bridge was found to be cracking and damage to the post-tensioning system was discovered.

The M4 was closed in both directions between junction 18 and junction 19 from 7pm on Friday until 6am on Monday.

From March 21 until March 24,motoristswere affected by the construction works.

And Britain's busiest motorway also closed again this weekend leaving thousands of drivers affected.

The closures were on junction 10 of the M25, near Wisley inSurreywhere the motorway meets the A3, and junction 11, near Woking, in both directions.

The closures were part of a £317m improvement works to add extra lanes.

National Highways have said this set of M25 closures will be the final ones for this project.

Last year, National Highways closed part of the motorway three times as it undergoes the multi-million pound upgrade.

The infrastructure project began in 2022 but “extreme weather” has pushed back the expected completion date to spring 2026, said National Highways.
