Man remanded for allegedly defiling 6 year-old girl

A 20-year-old man, Daniel Olojede, has been remanded in a correctional centre by an Ikorodu Chief Magistrates' Court for allegedly defiling a six-year-old girl.

Olojede is facing a four-count charge, including defilement, indecent assault, child abuse, and assault.

The court did not take Olojede's plea but ordered that his file be sent to the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.

The case has been adjourned until May 22.

According to the prosecutor, ASP Aminu Isaac, Olojede committed the offences on March 14 at a residence in Ikorodu.

He allegedly assaulted the 4-year-old sibling of his victim by touching him and chasing him out of his father's room.

The offences are said to contravene sections of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
