Man Utd and Chelsea suffer blows in Osimhen and Leao transfer pursuits as Carlo Ancelotti asks Real Madrid to sign pair

REAL MADRID are plotting transfer moves for Victor Osimhen and Rafael Leao, according to reports.

The pair have impressed in Serie A and the Champions League this season for Napoli and AC Milan respectively.

They have also caught the eye of Premier League clubs with Chelsea identifying Leao as a top target in the summer.

Manchester United are also believed to be considering Osimhen as a possible replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, so Real’s interest in the duo is a big blow to their ambitions.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to bolster his attacking options and is keen to sign the pair.

Injury to Karim Benzema leaves Real short of a natural goalscorer, and Osimhen is viewed as the solution after scoring nine goals in 13 games this season.

But he could command a massive fee having joined Napoli for £70million in 2020, while the same could be said of Leao.

He is a key player for Milan and was named Serie A MVP as his side claimed the Serie A title last year.

But he has around 18 months left on his contract and is said to be demanding £170,000-a-week to stay – which even Real could say no to.

That could open the door for Chelsea to make a move with Graham Potter admitting he is a big fan of the winger.

Potter said: “I’ve been really impressed with Rafael Leao whenever I’ve watched Milan games, he’s a top player.

“In terms of what happens in the future, who knows whether he can do this in Premier League or not.

“He’s got the capability, for sure.”;
