MANCHESTER UNITED director Jean-Claude Blanc has stepped down from his position at Old Trafford.
Blanc joined the United board last year when Sir Jim Ratcliffe purchased a 25 per cent stake in the club.

Having already held the title of CEO of Ineos Sport, he was appointed as director and represented the Red Devils at European Clubs' Association and Premier League meetings.
However, the 62-year-old has now vacated the position to take up a different role within Man Utd.
A statement from the club read: “Jean-Claude Blanc has stepped down from his position as a director of Manchester United Football Club.
“However, he will continue to have an active role in the management of the club in his new position as Chief of International Football Relations and Special Adviser to the board.”
