MANCHESTER UNITED could be SOLD by the Glazer family, the club have confirmed.

The Glazer family said: “The strength of Manchester United rests on the passion and loyalty of our global community of 1.1 billion fans and followers.

“As we seek to continue building on the Club’s history of success, the Board has authorized a thorough evaluation of strategic alternatives.

“We will evaluate all options to ensure that we best serve our fans and that Manchester United maximizes the significant growth opportunities available to the Club today and in the future.”;

And as a result, the club’s stock market value has shot up by an incredible £336million with share prices up by 17 per cent.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is NO longer a Manchester United player.

The Old Trafford legend’s association with the club where he made his reputation and returned as a hero has reached a sorry conclusion.

Ronaldo, 37, had no chance of a return after his earth-shattering interview with Piers on TalkTV, which was revealed via SunSport first.

A United statement read: “Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.

“The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.”;
