Published on April 14, 2025 at 09:19 AM

THERE’S no doubt that M&S have upped their game this season, with countless pairs of stunning trousers plastered all over our social media feeds.

Recently, we’ve seen fans from M&S, while that are ‘ideal for ’.

Here, I test out six viral pairs from M&S – and while there's a big loser, there's also a winner you won't want to miss

With the heating up, rather than just watching rave about the trousers, I took things into my own hands and did a huge M&S .

Not only did I get my hands on six pairs of stunning that are ideal for (all of which I, a 5 foot 6’ girlie, got in the regular length), but I’ve even found my new favourite pair – and they’re super .

So if you want to give your wardrobe an update in time for , then you’ve come to the right place.

Here, I, , a and newly converted M&S superfan, share my honest thoughts on six of the latest trousers, including the pair I’d leave on the shelf and the popular buy you need to nab fast.

M&S Navy Wide Leg Trousers, £29.50

After seeing these Wide Leg Trousers all over my feed, I have to say, I was excited to get my hands on them.

These Wide Leg Trousers will be a staple in my wardrobe this season

At £29.50, they aren’t the cheapest pair available, but when you feel the quality of them, the price tag will make perfect sense.

They feel fabulous and look super chic, but they do come up slightly short.

To make matters worse, they made my bum look even flatter than it already is, so if you’re looking for something flattering, I’m not sure these should be at the top of your list.

That being said, they are super smart, would be great for and the gets a thumbs up from me.

M&S Charcoal Jersey Wide Leg Trousers with Stretch, £19.50

If it’s a pair of you’re after, these Jersey Wide Leg Trousers may be just the thing for you.

I wasn't totally sold on these Jersey Wide Leg Trousers

They’re definitely more suitable for going to meetings than running errands, as the fit is much more structured than the flowy, casual look many of us are searching for.

I got these in the charcoal colour, which to be honest, looked a bit boring.

But despite the colour being a bit of a let down, they do look smart and are much more flattering than I expected.

The length wasn’t quite long enough for me, so unfortunately, these definitely aren’t going to be a new staple in my wardrobe for this season.

But at less than £20, I do have to say, for M&S' luxe quality, they're a .

M&S Rose Pink Crepe Elasticated Waist Wide Leg Trousers, £29.50

With the weather heating up, if you’re on the hunt for a colourful pair of trousers that are sure to turn heads, look no further.

This pink pair had me beaming

These rose pink Crepe Elasticated Waist Wide Leg Trousers are not only a stunning shade, but they’re spot on with the leg length too.

Even better, they’re incredibly versatile – they’re appropriate enough to be paired with a white shirt for a meeting, but are flowy enough that they’ll look equally as great with a t-shirt and trainers.

The pink is an ideal colour for spring and if that wasn’t enough, the tie waistband is super flattering and even gives the appearance of a slightly – what a win.

My only criticism is that they do crease easily, so you’ll need to get your out to ensure these don’t let you down this spring.

My rating: 8/10

M&S White Linen-Rich Drawstring Tapered Trousers, £27.50

are a staple for many, but for me, these don’t pass the vibe check.

White linen trousers will not be staying in my wardrobe this season

Yes, they’re lightweight, comfortable and I do like the pockets on the bum.

However, I have to say, these Linen-Rich Drawstring Tapered Trousers don’t look how they do when advertised online.

They come up short, and the ankle swinger look is not one I’m after, and to be totally honest, they just aren’t that forgiving.

Not only this, but I’m not a fan of the see-through pockets, so will be making sure to pack these up ready to return.

My rating: 2/10

M&S Neutral Jersey Twill Straight Leg Trousers, £27.50

These Jersey Twill Straight Leg Trousers are flying off the shelves, with over 1,500 reviews online and I can definitely see why.

You can expect top notch quality with these Jersey Twill Straight Leg Trousers

They’re super smart and thankfully, are really flattering on my bum and legs.

For once, I actually like the slim fit look and at £27.50, the quality of these trousers is definitely reflected in the price.

As well as feeling and looking premium, these beige trousers are smart for work and are sure to look great with loafers and a shirt.

To top things off, there’s no uncomfortable buttons or buckles, so if comfort is important to you, you won’t want to miss these.

M&S Navy Linen Blend Wide Leg Trousers, £27.50

And last but certainly not least, my favourite pair of all – one I will be stocking up on in all colours (when more are back in stock) – the Linen Blend Wide Leg Trousers.

The overall winner? These Linen Blend Wide Leg Trousers are a definite 10/10

I got these comfy and lightweight trousers in navy and they are the newest summer staple in my wardrobe.

There’s 10 other colours to choose from and there’s even striped options too, but these trousers are selling out fast.

Thanks to their lightweight material, I’m sure they’ll be effective for keeping cool whilst looking stylish.

I’ll be living in these trousers for the foreseeable – whether that’s for days in the office, running errands, or even on long haul flights

They are the perfect wide leg and the elasticated waist is a real winner for me – so you can say goodbye to uncomfortable trousers digging in at your stomach after scoffing a tasty meal.

If I wasn’t already sold, the pockets continue to ensure these trousers go from strength to strength and not only that, they’re also a great length too.

I imagine I’ll be living in these trousers for the foreseeable – whether that’s for days in the office, running errands, or even on .

And I’m clearly not the only one impressed, as these M&S Collection trousers have amassed over 2,330 online reviews.

While the majority of the other viral trousers are selling out fast, there is surprisingly still a large selection of sizes left in these Linen Blend Wide Leg Trousers, but make sure to act fast and get them before it’s too late.

My rating: 10/10
