Horror as girl is grabbed by masked man while walking to school after he watched her get off bus

A HORRIFIED mum reveals her daughter was grabbed by a masked man on after he watched her get off a bus.

The young pupil was approached by a stranger in Bishopsworth Road, Bedminister at around 8.45am on March 14.

Her mother Catherine told BristolLive the man had been “lurking” around a local Co-op store.

A police spokesperson said: “On Monday 17 March we received a report that a child had been approached by a man who grabbed their arm while they were walking in Bishopsworth Road.

“The incident is understood to have taken place at about 8.45am on Friday 14 March.

“An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances and as part of this CCTV enquiries have been carried out while officers have also spoken to the child's parent. Officers have also spoken to staff at the child's school.

“The man is described as being aged in his 30s or 40s and as wearing a face covering at the time. If you have any information that you think may help our investigation, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5225078364.”;
