The Minecraft Movie Meal will hit restaurants nationwide from Wednesday, March 26

It will feature one of six exclusive collectible toys, crafted especially for adults.

They include iconic McDonald’s characters like Grimace, Hamburglar and Birdie the Early Bird, “blockified” like in Minecraft.

Maccies lovers have gone wild since this news took off – with the fast food brand responding to excited comments online.

One person asked on Instagram: “Is this the first ever adult UK happy meal???”

To which McDonald’s replied: “My inner child is going to be healed.”

Meanwhile another fan wrote: “Please do more adult happy meals!! I’m so excited for these.”

To which McDonald’s replied: “I might start a petition because hard agree.”

Other comments labelled the new meal as “epic” while another told the chain “you guys have outdone yourselves.”

From March 26, shoppers can also get their hands on a new Apple Cake McFlurry, “Nether Flame” hot sauce and Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers.

The McFlurry combines soft dairy ice cream with apple and shortcake pieces, topped with a sour apple sauce and is on sale for £1.69.

Meanwhile, the new “Nether Flame” hot sauce is inspired by the Minecraft game.

There are also six new Minecraft orders to go with the hot sauce, which includes a Big Mac, nine McNuggets, four Veggie Dippers, plus your choice of side and drink.

It will be available as a medium or large meal, with prices starting at £8.19.

However, with the new arrivals to the McDonald's menu comes departures.

The Shamrock Shake, Mozzarella Dippers and Mars McFlurry will leave menus on March 25.

The shake appeared inrestaurantsfor the first time on March 12 after only previously being available in the US.

Itfeatured asoft-serve ice cream with peppermint-flavoured syrup.

Meanwhile the Mars McFlurry was made from dairy ice cream which is swirled with crunchy chocolate-covered nougat pieces and topped with caramel sauce.

Finally, the Mozzarella Dippers were made from sticks of Mozzarella cheese, coated in breadcrumbs and served with a salsa dip.

It is common for the fast-food giant to shake up what is sold across its 1,300 UK restaurants to make way for new items.

Menus are often updated every few months or in line with certain events such as Easter or Christmas.
