Trailer for Meghan Markle’s new podcast drops with duchess promising ‘girl talk’ & joking about guest’s love life
Published on March 25, 2025 at 07:58 AM
MEGHAN Markle has dropped the trailer for her new podcast – and she promises “girl talk”.
The Duchess, 43, announced earlier this month her latest business venture, Confessions of a Female Founder, would launch on April 8.
The podcast will launch on April 8It follows the release of her eight-part series on Netflix earlier this month With Love, MeghanThe Duchess has this week been accused of using her children to promote As Ever after sharing a snap of her with Lilibet and Archie
The mum-of-two said in the sneak peek: “I'm Meghan, and this is Confessions of a Female Founder, a show where I chat with female entrepreneurs and friends about the sleepless nights, the lessons learned and the laser focus that got them to where they are today.
“We're diving into the highs â and the lows â and the kind of advice that turns small ideas into billion-dollar businesses…And of course, we're going to get some girl talk!”
The exciting trailer also revealed snippets taken from her guests.
One shared: “It just started climbing and climbing, and there was 5,000, 10,000 people on our website.”
Another recalled: “I knew in that moment that I'd rather stand for something than sell a whole ton of product and stand for nothing.”
But, as promised, the Duchess also teased listeners with some more juicy conversation.
She asked one speaker if they were single and hinted we could be given an inside scoop into their relationship status.
At the end of the podcast clips, Meghan said: “This is notShark Tank, think of this as ‘dolphin tank.'
“These are very friendly waters, it's all going to be good.”
Confessions of a Female Founder will feature eight episodes and focus on Meghan's journey as an entrepreneur.

It follows the release of her eight-part Netflix series With Love, Meghan which saw her making meals and crafting with Hollywood pals.
The new podcast which succeeds her first, Archetypes, will see the mum-of-two chatting to small business owners and how they grew their empires.
This will compliment the launch of her latest re-brand,As Ever, which has so far teased products including fruit preserves and embroidered napkins.
However, With Love, Meghan has sincereceived fierce criticismand currently has a rating of just 2.8/10 on IMDb – although it has also been renewed for a second season.
Who’s REALLY going to watch Meghan’s new ‘women in business’ podcast?
By Summer Raemason
MEGHAN Markle's new podcast will be a flop with no substance just like her Netflix show, a royal expert has blasted.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, announced episodes of her latest business venture,Confessions Of A Female Founder, will be dropping next month
In light of the announcement, Royal expert Hugo Vickers spoke to Flying Eze about Meg's second attempt at creating a successful podcast.
He said: “She's always making another step. But with love, Meghan hasn't been, as far as I can see, a great success
“I mean, it's been very highly criticized, and this one looks a little bit touchy-feely as well.
“It's one of those sort of awful things if you're going to watch a program about how people set up a small business and turn it into something fabulous, I'd rather watch a real expert, who was tried and tested in the field – rather than somebody who swans in and delivers some random thoughts, but that's just my opinion.
“The other one [podcast] wasn't a success, and this one may or may not be.
“She has to keep trying. I mean, it is possible if she does enough podcasts, eventually one of them will work.
“But this one doesn't look terribly exciting to me.
“I'm sure there will be issues [with the new podcast]. She's always going to be in a problem, I think, because of some of the things that she said in the past which have been very contentious, there is a lot of hostility towards her and there's also a lot of suspicion. What is she really up to?”
The royal expert added how it appears there are “two different” Meghan's – the mum-to-be who sat down with Oprah in 2021 – and the homemaking queen today.
Mr Vickers claimed this makes people “suspicious”, as well as her “endless reinvention”.
Despite giving the Duchess “credit” for trying to launch another project in the face of criticism, he added: “Maybe it'll work out.
“But you ask me for my professional opinion. I don't think it will.”
The royal commentator touched on why he feels Confessions Of A Female Founder may not be a hit.
“I do think she's spreading herself rather thin,” he said.
He also highlighted issues with With Love, Meghan, that could also translate to the podcast.
“I don't think it was about cooking at all. It was all about Megan,” said Mr Vickers.
“It was Megan wearing different outfits and swanning around in somebody else's kitchen, hardly ever wearing an apron, as far as I could see.
“So it didn't really seem to be terribly genuine. And that's the worry.
“Now we're going to get lots of conversations which we can listen into, I suppose, of her chatting to people who've succeeded and people who've failed. You know what are their tricks? What are their tumbles?
“I think she's at the moment had more tumbles than anything else.
“But you see, I think where she's in trouble is that the world is sort of rather turning against her.
“I can't tell you how excited everybody was when she came on the scene, and somehow she's managed to turn all that round.
“When you watch a program you really want to see something with substance.
“This morning Prue Leith was talking about a new show she's doing, and I mean she's been at it for years, and she is a very, very professional cook, and they asked her would she be watching With Love, Meghan?
“And she said no way she would be watching it. She said she didn't want to watch something which is all to do with people deciding what hand cream to wear and things.
“She wants substance. And so I think that's what the With Love, Meghan programs were lacking.
“It was all very superficial.
“And I just wonder how this podcast will be different.”
Meanwhile, As Ever was faced with several blows after fellow business owners, and a Majorcan mayor, accused the Duchess of plagiarism over the name and logo.
And, Archetypeswas axed from Spotifyless than a year after its debut – seeing the Sussexes reportedly lose out on an £18 million payout.
She added a dove emoji and wrote: “Every day is a love story.”;
It is the latest business move for California-based Meghan, who previously agreed with husband Prince Harry not to use their royal titles to make money.
Royal author and journalist Phil Dampier said: “Nothing happens by accident and she would have thought this through and knows putting a photo of her children out at the same time as her clothing line would get maximum publicity.
“It begs the question whetherMeghan is exploiting her two childrenwho remain in the line of succession. I’d expect the Palace to take a dim view of this.”;
Meghan has 2.6million on her personal account, while As Ever has around 734,000.
An hour after posting the loving family pic, she revealed she now has a “ShopMy”; page featuring “a hand-picked and curated collection of the things I love â I hope you enjoy them”;.
They include Heidi Merrick’s “Windsor”; gown for an eye-watering £1,068, a £600 pair of Saint Laurent sandals, a £400 necklace and a £148 linen shirt.
Meghan mocked over banana split claim
MEGHAN Markle claimed her pal had “reinvented”; the banana split â despite the dish being more than 120 years old.
The Duchess of Sussex posted a new Instagram story filming pal Kelly Zajfen adding granola, strawberries, blueberries and jam to the popular dessert choice.
Alongside the post, she added: “When one of the besties reinvents a banana split for breakfast”.
After tasting the food in her video, Meghan gives an approving “Mm”;, while pal Kelly adds: “It tastes so good.”;
Meghan, 43, also added a close-up photo of the bananas and tagged her new As Ever brand’s social media page.
But critics pointed out that the popular banana dessert, most commonly served with vanilla ice cream, was invented in 1904 by David “Doc” Strickler, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
It has since been a staple in homes and restaurants around the world with hundreds of different topping combinations.
In 2019, Meghan wrote inspirational comments on bananas distributed to prostitutes during an impromptu stop with Prince Harry at the One25 charity in Bristol.
