HOLLYWOOD legend Mickey Rourke has undergone numerous plastic surgeries since the 1990s â initially to address injuries sustained during his boxing career.
Here we look at the timeline of the star's many procedures over the years.

1990s: Rhinoplasty, cheek implants and facial reconstruction
began his career as a boxer before stepping away from the ring to launchanacting career in the 1970s.
After landing a slew of acting roles throughout the 1980s, Mickey decided take a break from and go back to his first love â .

“But I knew that was untrue â he didn't have any molars to take out.”

2009: Admission of botched surgeries
In 2009, Mickey told MailOnline: “Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together.”
He added: “I had my nose broken twice. I had five operations on my nose and one on a smashed cheekbone.
“I had to have cartilage taken from my ear to rebuild my nose and a couple of operations to scrape out the cartilage because the scar tissue wasn't healing properly.
“That was one of the most painful operations, but the worst was haemorrhoids.”

This year marked a turning point, as Mickey began seeking corrective surgeries.
2010-2016: Facelifts and more cheek implants
During this period, underwent multiple to address sagging skin and maintain a youthful appearance.

He captioned the post: “Moments after nose surgery with Dr Dhir. Now I am pretty again (lol)… one more to go.
“I don't even know what day it is, don't even realise operation is over.”
