Missing US soldiers found dead

Published on March 31, 2025 at 03:18 PM

Three of the four United States soldiers who went missing during a training mission near PabradÄ—, Lithuania, a few days ago have been found dead.

Their lifeless bodies were discovered on Monday, but the search is ongoing for the fourth soldier, the Army said.

It was gathered that the M88 Hercules armored vehicle carrying the soldiers before they went missing was removed from a swamp Monday morning after six days of intense search.

According to ABC News, US Navy divers arrived at the site on Sunday night when they began to maneuver through thick layers of mud, clay and sediment with zero visibility, searching for the vehicle.

Army said it took over two hours of hoisting the cables to retrieve the soldiers' vehicle from the bog.

“The dive team has since transitioned to gridding out the area to enable a systematic search and the team is using a ground penetrating radar provided by Lithuanian experts to assist in the ongoing recovery operations,” the Army said Monday.
