The teen had to be treated for chemical burns after the “insidious attack” in Stockport and has been left with permanent scars.

Footage has now been released of the moment Martins was cornered by cops wearing gas masks in the back of a taxi.

He was dragged out the car and bundled the ground before being handcuffed.

One officer asks the thug: “Is there anything now that can hurt us? Do you understand what I mean?”;

Martins replies: “Yeah yeah yeah.”;

As he's escorted into the back of a van, a cop says: “He has been properly searched but there is acid in the back, he’s been in the back of a taxi.

Police also discovered 30 wraps of heroin and cocaine, a bag of , two mobile phones, a balaclava and cash.

Martins has now been jailed for eight years after he pleaded guilty to robbery and possessing a corrosive substance.

He also admitted intimidation and offences, including intent to supply cannabis and ketamine, and possession of ecstasy.

Minshull Street Crown heard Martins had hatched the revenge plot when the teen refused to give him his jacket.

He then poured the substance onto a piece of paper and boasted: “Imagine that on his skin? It’s going to melt his face off.”;

Martins then tracked down the boy and hurled the corrosive liquid in his face.

He was then picked up by co-defendant Joanne Edwards – telling her his homemade kit had “gone down a treat”.

When Edwards' son heard about the acid attack, Martins tracked him down and kicked in the back door of his house.

He then threatened to stab him and chillingly vowed to “carve his name into him”.

Police managed to hunt the attacker down by using eyewitness evidence, CCTV footage and “cell site evidence” to show where his phone was at all times.

Edwards pleaded guilty to encouraging or assisting the commission of an offence and was handed a community order.

Detective Constable Heather Parke, from GMP’s Stockport district, said: “The effects of attacks involving corrosive substances are well-known, and can result in severe, life-changing injuries or even death.

“Using them in attacks is utterly vile and I am glad Martins is now behind bars for his vicious assault. His victim received injuries from which he is still suffering, and has already received numerous treatments.

“We have zero tolerance for these sort of crimes, and we put considerable resources into ensuring that Martins was arrested, charged, and sentenced. He now has a long time to think about his actions inside a cell.”;
