Morocco 2025: Flamingos get N6m reward for win over Algeria

Nigeria's U-17 Women's side, the Flamingos have been rewarded with N6m following Saturday's victory Algeria.

Bankole Olowookere's charges thrashed the North Africans 4-0 in the first leg of their 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup final round qualifying fixture.

Queen Joseph scored twice with Zainab Raji and Aishat Animashaun also on target for the Flamingos.

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, gifted the team N2m, while billionaire businessman Kunle Soname doled out N4m.

The Flamingos will face Algeria in the second leg in Bilda on Friday.

The overall winners will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
