Mother of slain 16-year-old Kaduna student storms court, demands justice

The mother of Ahmed Musa, a 16 year-old student of the Government Technical College in Kaduna who was brutally killed, has cried out for justice, saying her son must not die in vain.

DAILYPOST recalls that that the body of the SS2 student of Government Technical College, Malali in Kaduna North Local Government Area was dumped within the school premises with his hands and legs tied up on February 16, 2025.

Angered by the incident, the bereaved mother stormed the Magistrates’ Court of Kabala Doki Kaduna in the company of other family members and sympathisers and threatened to mobilise women in a mass protest to seek justice.

However, the mother of the deceased alleged that the Kaduna State government had neglected the family since the incident happened.

“I want the public to know that no matter what, I, the mother of late Ahmed Musa, will not rest until I get justice; merely looking at the murder case, is like the Kaduna State government and the Nigerian police want to frustrate us in getting justice,”; she said.

She threatened to embark on protests with women groups across state saying, “We will organise a mass protest across the state; we have started contacting different women’s organisations. We will also proceed to Berekete, the Human Rights Radio until justice is achieved.”;

She called for intervention from human rights groups such as Amnesty International.

Meanwhile, Chief Magistrate Naheed Ibrahim Abdulhamid, has adjourned the murder case until May 27, 2025 as the witnesses in the trial, including the Nigeria police and the prime suspects, did not appear in the court.
