Major motorway SHUT as cops close down road over emergency incident with four miles of queues

A MAJOR motorway has closed as cops shut down the road over an emergency incident.

The M25 has been shut clockwise between Waltham Cross and Waltham Abbey.

National Highways has warned that there are four miles of congestion along the road and urges drivers to prepare for delays.

It said: “The M25 in Hertfordshire is closed clockwise between J25 (Waltham Cross) and J26 (Waltham Abbey) due to a Police led incident.

“Emergency services are in attendance.”

The closure has been described as a “Police led incident” and for motorists to expect delays.
