Mourinho set to sign Man City star

Published on March 26, 2025 at 11:55 PM

Fenerbahçe manager José Mourinho is eyeing a deal for Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson as he looks to strengthen his team for next season.

Mourinho's men trail Galatasaray by nine points, although they have a game in hand.

The Yellow Canaries are now seeking to make a head start on their summer transfer plans, and Ederson is on their shortlist.

The 31-year-old could be set to leave the Etihad at the end of this season.

The Brazilian signed a five-year contract with City in 2021 and will enter the final 12 months of that contract in June.

Last year, Ederson attracted interest from the Saudi Pro League, and reportedly received an offer of a £900,000-a-week deal.

Fenerbahçe are said to want to make a splash, however, and are also targeting Juventus forward Dušan Vlahović, who is also heading into the final year of his agreement, according to Fanatik.

Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar and Bayer Leverkusen centre forward Patrik Schick are the club's back-up options, it is claimed.
