BOXING legend Muhammad Ali’s grandson Nico Ali Walsh could be set for his UK debut.
That is according to promoter Bob Arum, who revealed to Seconds Out he intends to have Nico, 22, over to Britain for the undercard of Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde.
The American boxer is expected to fly across the pond on January 28, 2023.
The middleweight has enjoyed a stunning start to his career with plenty of expectations to meet as the grandson of one of the absolute greatest fighters ever.
And Nico has so far been continuing the family legacy well as he is undefeated after winning all of his six professional fights.
The 22-year-old likely picked up a thing or two by repeatedly watching Ali‘s fights with the man himself before his death in 2016.
In fact, the young boxing ace revealed to SunSport how his grandfather’s eyes would “light up”; every time he watched his old matches.
Nico recently said: “The main fights we would watch would be of his fights. When we werenât watching him on TV, we would watch on my phone my sparring clips and me training.
“If I had to pick a fight of his we would normally watch Rumble in the Jungle because this is my favourite fight of his. It was fun watching this with him and to see his reaction. I mean, he always reacted when we watched it.
“I always watch his fights. Itâs hard to replicate him because heâs so different so I donât try to replicate him but I definitely watch them theyâre very entertaining.

“It brings me back to the memories when I was a kid watching with him. I remember his eyes would light up, when he saw himself.
“That was one of the best things when I watched his fights with him seeing his reactions, how he would react to hitting his opponent, or his opponent hitting him. It was overall fun to see what he thought about his own fights.”;
