Mystery Betfair punter turns £5 into £25,000 with Easter Bank Holiday goals 12-fold

Published on April 22, 2025 at 10:06 AM

IT was an Easter bank holiday Monday to remember for one lucky Betfair punter after a HUGE win on the EFL.

An almost-full fixture card to choose from in the three divisions plus National League, with the bettor scooping over £25,000 from just a fiver staked!

The bet was a monster 12-fold with over 2.5 goals selected in each leg of the acca.

Essentially, they were expecting – and praying – for an absolute goalfest.

And that's exactly what they got. But only just.

Not only did they manage to land the lengthy selection, most of the games cleared that mark quite comfortably.

Five of the games finished with the required three goals, four games finished with four goals and three ended up with a whopping sixgoals in them.

Amongst the goals was an 89th minute strike for Sheffield Wednesday to turn their game around against Middlesbrough and severely dent Boro's play-off push.

Stockport themselves came from 1-0 down to beat Huddersfield with74th and 87th minute goals to confirm their play-off status in League.

Keeping with that theme, Leyton Orient also battled back from a goal behind to win 2-1, ensuring they are just clinging on to a play-off spot themselves in that division and leaving Cambridge on the brink of relegation.

The drama didn't end there, with Cheltenham's Ethan Archer bagging an 89th minute winner for his side at Notts County, to complete another turnaround in dramatic fashion to see them win 2-1.

However the latest goal – the one likely cheered the loudest by the punter – came at Doncaster where Patrick Kelly rounded off a huge win for Donny to make it 3-0n against Colchester.

That win saw Doncaster move top of League Two and also saw this huge acca land, returning a very nice £25,768.68 from £5 staked.
