The 37-year-old took on McGregor twice, winning their first meeting back in 2016 at UFC 196 via submission.

The Notorious then won the rematch and the pair have recently flirted with the idea of completing a trilogy.

But there’s no love lost between Diaz and McGregor’s team-mate and pal Danis.

Diaz SLAPPED Danis outside Madison Square Garden at UFC 281 with fans watching on.

MMA manager Audie Attar was in the middle of the two men and they eventually went their separate ways.

Danis, who is 2-0 in MMA and hasn’t fought since June 2019, took to social media after the incident to claim he landed a smack of his own on the Stockton Brawler.

He said: “Ask Nate Diaz how that smack tastes.”;

Diaz’s UFC contract came to an end after his fight with Tony Ferguson.

He could now move into boxing and take on YouTube star Jake Paul.

However, Paul has already picked off a number of ex-UFC stars inside the squared circle, with the most recent being MMA great Anderson Silva.

And Michael Bisping has backed Paul to beat Diaz should they meet.
