A HOMEOWNER has revealed a savvy fence hack that helped them deal with their nightmare neighbour and their dog.
After suffering with their neighbour's pet constantly barking and growling at them over the whenever they were in the garden, the homeowner decided to take matters into their own hands.

They took to the Facebook groupGardening on a Budget Officialto share their frustration and explained how their neighbour's garden is on a higher level than theirs â which means their neighbour can see over their fence.
However, they revealed: “When the cleans up the wee/poo, it's into our garden and absolutely stinks. The flies are awful.”;
To address the situation, they asked gardeners in the group what plants they could put in front of the fence that would grow tall enough to block the dog's view of them and help mask the smell.
They added: “I know is the best bet for height, but it's so expensive and I just can't afford to spend a couple hundred on four pots of bamboo.
“I've planted some honeysuckle and clematis in the flower bed to the right (lower level), but I want to add some potted climbers or fast-growing plants that will grow taller than the neighbours fence.
“I have spoken to the neighbours numerous times, but they're very difficult to communicate with, and refuse to do anything about the .”;
The post received 315 comments, with people offering advice and sympathy.
One wrote: “My mum had this same problem and reported it to the council, they went round and spoke to them, made no difference but they escalated it.”;
A second offered some practical advice and commented: “I'd silicone some plastic to the fence to seal it and prevent water coming into your garden.
“I'd also just buy some 6ft fencing and put it there.
“It's much easier than plants. You can spend more on keeping plants alive and replacing them vs a 10 year fence.”;
A third suggested buying small bamboo to put in pots as it “grows really quickly.”;
They continued: “If it was in the ground it would be uncontrollable.
“You could also get some artificial ivy (the one on a stretchy material) and fix it to the fence, I think B&M sell it. It would stop the dogs seeing you.”;
Meanwhile, someone else suggested: “You can add wood slats to the openings, buy a couple a week, then screw into the fence â it’ll soon be fixed before you know it.”;

Another added: “Try passion flowers or a climbing rose, put a trellis up to help the plants grow… get some Jeyes Fluid for your patio to get rid of the pee smell.”;
