The first full week of May is here and with it comes a bunch of new movies and shows on Netflix. This is the week of the new series. There are a bunch of new seasons of Netflix Originals coming out as well as a series or two from other places as well. Let's take a look!
The first big Netflix Original series coming back is Selena: The Series. Season 2 hits Netflix on Tuesday, May 4. The show continues where season 1 left off and tells the rest of the story of Selena's life and her tragic death.
Christian Serratos is back as Selena Quintanilla. Most of the cast from last season should be back as well.

This week also brings season 2 of Girl from Nowhere. Fans of the Thai fantasy show have waited almost three years for this new season and now it's finally here on Friday, May 7. The series follows Nanno, a girl who transfers from school to school exposing lies and corruption of the students and the administration. For Nanno, it's all about revenge.

A new Netflix Original series, Jupiter's Legacy, is also coming to the streaming service on Friday, May 7. The series stars Anna Akana, Tyrone, Benskin, Jess Salgueiro, Andrew Horton, David Julian Hirsh, Elena Kampouris, Josh Duhamel, and Leslie Bibb.
It follows a group of kids whose parents are superheroes and who now must take over the job of protecting the world from the people that would see it destroyed.

This week also brings seasons 1-3 of StartUp starring Martin Freeman on Tuesday, May 4. Monster starring John David Washington, Jennifer Ehle, and Jeffrey Wright, and Super Me, a Chinese fantasy starring Darren Wang are available on Friday, May 7.
