Netflix’s Locke and Key has wrapped production on season 2

Published on April 17, 2021 at 10:59 PM

Locke and Key fans, good news! Production for season 2 for the Netflixoriginal has concluded!

Darby Stanchfield, who plays Nina Locke in the series, posted on her Instagram that filming has wrapped for the second season, and she praised the work of the cast and crew for maintaining safety during filming. Her caption stated that they didn't have to shut down filming due to all the hard work of everyone involved.

Locke and Key is on the growing list of comic book stories that have been made into a series. This one is a supernatural horror story that has been brilliantly done for Netflix. This is the reason the series has already been renewed for a third season.

When Rendell Locke (Mark Pellegrino) is murdered, his wife Nina and their three children Tyler (Connor Jessup), Kinsey (Emelia Jones) and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott), move to Massachusetts into Rendell's family home, Keyhouse. This house holds many mysterious keys that unlock passages into magical worlds.

When will Locke and Key season two be available on Netflix?

With filming completed for the highly anticipated second season, fans are eager to know when the series will release. The post-production on a series with many FX elements could take a while to complete. Hopefully, we will get at least part of the season before year's end.

In season 2, we will see the return of Petrice Jones, Laysla De Oliveira, Griffin Gluck, Bill Heck, Laysla De Oliveira, and Sherri Saum. Deadline has reported that Aaron Ashmore and Hallea Jones have been upgraded to series regulars, and Brendan Hines will also join the cast for this upcoming season.

Season 1 concluded with an excellent ending to set up the continuation of the story. Intertwined with the supernatural and horror aspects of this series is the coming of age story, which widens the demographic of the viewers.

With filming being wrapped, a trailer won't be long in coming. Keep watching Netflix Life for all the news on Locke and Key season 2.
