A LITTLE-known car brand is aiming to become the UK’s best-value EV maker – with a six-car line-up in the works.

Leapmotor, from , will have six different models available to buy by 2027, that’s priced at just £15,995.

They’ve also recently launched the C10, a large, all-electric SUV that ambitiously pits itself against the best-selling Model Y family SUV.

Next up is the B10, which has been likened to the Tonale, while a smaller, B-segment SUV and two more vehicles that aren’t are reportedly on the horizon.

As reported by Autocar, Leapmotor’s UK boss, Damien Dally, said the brand's goal is to be “the best-value EV brand with the highest level of technology”;.

He also described them as “a tech firm which makes cars”;.

While not a household name just yet, Leapmotor aims to be a long-term project.

But for now, Dalley admits their key aim is to help reach its ZEV mandate targets.

Leapmotor’s expansion so far sees 44 dealerships at existing Stellantis brand sites.

But by the end of the year, that number will grow to 75 – roughly the same as .

, Dally said: “No one’s heard of Leapmotor, but everyone’s heard of , and .

“It’s almost like walking into Currys and looking at a TV and you’re going, ‘Well, I haven’t heard of this brand, but it’s part of a family I know, so OK, fine, fantastic’.”;

He added: “We’re positioning Leapmotor as the best-value EV brand in the UK, backed up by the highest level of tech and spec.

“Dacia owns the idea of being the most affordable, lowest price.

“We want to be best-value.

“Not necessarily the cheapest, but included in that price is an amazing level of and specification as standard.

“The cheapest option is OK. We’ve all flown Ryanair.

“But it’s not the best.”;

The T03 model is currently the only Leapmotor model that’s built in – specifically, in .

But Dally said it was “likely that other will be made in Europe beyond the T03”;, with Stellantis obviously enjoying a large-scale infrastructure system.
