SAMSUNG have revealed the release date for their latest smartphone.

The “ultra-thin” Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will weigh just 162g and is set to rival the iPhone 17 Air.

It is rumoured to be under 6mm thick

The brand new devices have not only evolved in design but also come packing some handy new features.

The S25 Edge is rumoured to be just under 6mm thick making it noticeably slimmer than both the S25 Ultra and the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Although Samsung is yet to announce anything about the arrival of Galaxy S25 Edge, some believe it is on the horizon.

A new leak has claimed Samsung is preparing to launch the phone next month in India, which should coincide with its global release.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, formerly Twitter, claimedthat the Galaxy S25 Edge will launch in the Asian country next month.

However, previous leaks have suggested anApril 16launch date for the phone as it is speculated to launch in limited regions.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to run on a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and feature dual rear cameras.

The camera setup could comprise a 200-megapixel sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

Weighing in at just 162g, it could be over 60g lighter than the iPhone 16 Pro Max, despite only boasting a slightly smaller 6.6-inch screen.

Samsung is taking the AI up a level with a new briefing feature which learns what you need throughout the day and can help you along the way.

So, you can check it in the morning for an overview of things like traffic to work so you know whether to leave a bit earlier – or set off a bit later.

The new S25 Edge could also boast a 3,900mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging support.

There have been some concerns in the past about Samsung models and how well they handle heat.

But despite being thinner than the competition, the S25 Edge's extra height gives it some extra breathing room.

And the phone will feature a larger vapour chamber than the one in the base S25, according to tipster PandaFlashPro.

Vapour chambers use a small amount of liquid to quickly absorb and dissipate heat from the phone’s processor.

This clever design helps the phone stay cool, allowing it to run faster and more reliably without any performance hiccups or crashes from overheating.

It comes after a report fromAndroid Headlinesclaims the Galaxy S25 Edge will launch in three colours for the European market.

These will be Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Silver and Titanium Jetblack.

The report also indicates that the Galaxy S25 Edge will come with either 256GB of storage or 512GB with both options offering 12GB of RAM.

That would make the step up from 256GB to 512GB around half as expensive as on an equivalent iPhone.

These pricing details confirm earlier leaks that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be priced between the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Meanwhile, official registration documents have been filed in India, confirming that the Galaxy S25 Edge, model name SM-S937B, will launch in that market.
