Published on March 22, 2025 at 09:09 AM

Troops of the Joint Task Force have successfully repelled a Boko Haram attack on a military base in Waga Village, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

This was made known by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert focused on the Lake Chad region, in a post on his X handle.

Makama said that intelligence sources informed him the attack occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Friday after suspected terrorists launched an assault on the base.

According to the report, the troops swiftly responded, forcing the insurgents to retreat.

Makama said sources confirmed that there were no casualties among security personnel or residents of the community and that normalcy has since been restored.
