NNL: Maikaba gives reason for Wikki Tourists defeat to Jigawa Golden Stars

Wikki Tourists head coach, Abdulahi Maikaba has blamed fatigue for his team's defeat to Jigawa Golden Stars in a Nigeria National League (NNL) matchday 10 fixture.

The Bauchi Elephants were defeated 3-1 by Jigawa Golden Stars at the Kazaure Township Stadium.

Maikaba believed that his players effort was not enough in the game.

“We’ve been travelling a lot lately and the boys were a bit tired,” Maikaba said after the game.

“We tried to change things in the second half, which improved our play, but it wasn’t enough.”

Wikki Tourists remain top of Conference C table with 17 points.
