Published on April 26, 2025 at 07:29 PM

Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George, has admitted that Kano Pillars deserved victory in their Matchday 35 encounter.

The Pride of Rivers suffered a 2-0 defeat against Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, on Friday.

Ahmed Musa and Rabiu Ali scored for Kano Pillars in the game.

Finidi said that his team would focus on securing maximum points in their remaining home games of the season.

“If we look at the overall performance with the chances created Kano Pillars deserved to win,” Finidi stated in a post-match interview.

“For us, we have to go back and see how we can win our home games, which I am very confident about.”

Rivers United remain in second position on the league table with 58 points.
