Published on March 31, 2025 at 03:29 PM

Lobi Stars forward, Onyekachi Okafor has reacted to the attack on the team by some unidentified supporters of the club

The players and officials of the club were attacked by thugs during Sunday's training session at the playing ground of the government model college in Makurdi.

Okafor pointed out that there is no security for the players at the training ground.

“I was also beaten by the thugs, there was no safety for the players,” Okafor told DAILY POST.

“Members of the management were on ground nobody touched them. The incident took place at our playing ground.”

The management of the club has debunked allegations it sent thugs to attack players and officials of the club.

Lobi Stars are currently languishing at the bottom of the league table.
