NPFL: Ondo governor promises Sunshine Stars ready for Akure return

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has revealed that Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL side, Sunshine Stars, will play their next home match in Akure.

Sunshine Stars currently play their home matches at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode, following ongoing renovation works at their home ground, the Akure Sports Stadium.

Sunshine Stars’ next home game is against Katsina United.

Aiyedatiwa said all hands are on deck to ensure that the team maintains its top-flight status.

“Sunshine Stars will play their next home game at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure,”; Aiyedatiwa stated at a youth forum in Akure.

The Owena Waves currently occupy 19th position on the NPFL table with 38 points from 33 matches.
