Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has said that his team won't be carried away by congratulatory messages as they move closer to clinching the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL title.
The Sky Blue Stars defeated Shooting Stars 1-0 to maintain their seven-point lead at the top of the table.
Ogunmodede stated that it is important for his team to keep fighting in the remaining fixtures.
“We are not carried away with congratulatory messages, we will keep fighting in our last four games,”; Ogunmodede stated in a post-match interview.
“We have been runners-up for some time now, we don't want to be nearly again, we want to be the champions of the NPFL.
“I'm not happy the spectators are not at the game, they are the icing on the cake.”
Remo Stars will lock horns with Niger Tornadoes in their next league match.
