NPFL: Sanni rues missed chances in Kwara United’s defeat to Akwa United

Published on March 23, 2025 at 08:13 PM

Kwara United technical adviser, Tunde Sanni, has blamed missed chances for his team’s defeat to Akwa United.

The Harmony Boys lost 2-0 to Akwa United at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, George Inih Stadium, on Sunday.

Goals from Kabir Osoba and Uche Sabastine secured Akwa United’s first away win of the season.

Sanni stated that his team paid the price for their profligacy in front of goal.

“We ought to have won convincingly with our performance in the first 20 minutes,” Sanni lamented in a post-match interview.

“My lads wasted scoring chances, and we paid the price.”

Following the defeat, Kwara United dropped to 13th position in the league table.
