Nasarawa Amazons' Marilyn Essien has revealed that the target of the team is to win the 2025 Nigeria Women’s Football League, NWFL title.
The Amazons thrashed Confluence Queens 5-0 to maintain their push for a Championship playoff spot.
Essien assured that the team will continue to fight to secure qualification for the playoffs.
“It’s to bring home the trophy,” Essien stated after the game.
“We want to keep fighting as we want to seal our qualifications to the NWFL Super 6 early and know what the next phase will look like.
“We never expected the outcome of the game against Confluence Queens, as we all know how difficult a derby is. We prepared well, but to get as much as five goals without conceding was just something out of this world.”
