Published on April 25, 2025 at 11:30 AM

Nasarawa Amazons midfielder Rukayat Shobowale has urged her teammates to shift their focus to Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six playoff tournament.

The Amazons defeated defending champions Edo Queens 1-0 to book a ticket to the season-ending tournament.

Remo Stars Ladies, Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens and Rivers Angels have also booked their spot in the competition.

Naija Ratels and Robo Queens will fight for the final playoff spot on the final day of the regular season next week.

“Finally, we (Nasarawa Amazons) qualified to the NWFL Premiership Super Six with a trademark win against Edo Queens,” Shobowale wrote on X.

“Time to shift focus to the ultimate league winner decider.”

Nasarawa Amazons will square up against Heartland Queens in their next match in Owerri.
