Obasa’s removal as Lagos Speaker unconstitutional – Lagos court

Published on April 16, 2025 at 12:35 PM

The Lagos High Court, sitting in Ikeja, has ruled that the removal of Mudashiru Obasa as Speaker of the State House of Assembly was illegal, unconstitutional, null and void.

Obasa had filed a suit against the House of Assembly and the newly appointed Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, challenging the legality of his removal.
