After officially calling things off a little over a week ago, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez continue to toy with our fragile, edge-dwelling emotions by keeping us guessing as to their relationship status and fixating on the next update. This is how you stunt-queen like a pro, kids! Even when you’re not really together anymore, the partnership may have vexingly taken on a life of its own and needs propping up here and there, especially when there is money involved. At least be friendly and civil, so everyone can feel good about supporting your brand.
After the totally surprising and not at all predictable revelation that maybe JLo wasn’t impressed at the thought of sharing A-Rod’s chronically roving peen with side pieces, the demise of the hottest romance of our generation may have deflated all of our aspirations, but we now have a blueprint for how to stay friendly when there are cameras around after fate has dealt its cruel blow.
According to Page Six:
Former couple Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were seen having dinner together over the weekend at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, sources exclusively told Page Six.
Spies said the pair were out at the luxury hotel on Friday night — just over a week after they confirmed they’d called off their engagement and broken up.
It’s the same ritzy restaurant where they went on their first date back in 2017. Lopez also reportedly owns a $28 million mansion in the neighborhood.
JLo is said to be leaning on her ex, Marc Anthony, in the aftermath of her breakup with A-Rod, as she and Marc continue to share co-parenting duties of their twins, Max and Emme.
But it seemed that the pop star and the former Yankees slugger were still close at the amicable meetup. A source said, “There still seemed to be love and respect there.”
It’s unclear what the friendly Oscar weekend dinner was about. We hear that the exes are continuing to work on business projects together — though Lopez is not involved in Rodriguez’s bid to own an NBA team.
Whether they were just talking business or not is unknown, but it’s far more intriguing to think that maybe JLo lured A-Rod into a fancy trap in order to stealth-scrounge for rogue strands of hair to fortify her A-Rod and Madison LeCroy voodoo dolls. When at a loss, just make shit up! Just ask Lenny Kravitz, who was rumored to be getting close with JLo on the set of their movie Shotgun Wedding. A rumor that I’m sure Team JLo didn’t start to try to make A-Rod jealous.
