It is vital that you know what to look for when is flight-ready.
There are that catch Brits out each year and ruin plans.
For some unfortunate holidaymakers, that means they get turned away at the plane.
There are about the criteria passports must meet.
First of all, they must be within the expiry date.
For international travel, there must also be at least three months left on the passport from the date you intend to return home.
Also, since the UK left the EU, most European destinations demand that British must not be more than 10 years old.
Even if you have plenty of time left before the expiry date, you should check that yours doesn't break .
People with the old in particular are urged to have a look before they travel.
Given that Brits are busy planning their getaways, this puzzle offers some timely practice.
Scan all of the documents in the picture and see if you can spot the one that would cause an issue.
If you're struggling to figure it out, here's a clue.
The damaged passport could not be British-issued, because it is the wrong colour.
And remember, British passports were burgundy until 2020, when they became navy-blue.
