NOW that we can expect our weekends to have a chance of sunshine, Brits will be looking to take advantage of their outdoor spaces and embrace the sunshine.
But after a rough winter, with lots of rain and gale-force winds, many people’s garden spaces may not be looking as put together as they’d like.
Christie makes her patio sparkling clean by using a simple hack
Which is why many Brits may choose this weekend to start giving their outdoor spaces some TLCâespecially the patios.
And if you’ve got any pets, then many people will be all too familiar with paw marks and dirt appearing on their patios.
One woman who has experienced exactly this has revealed a simple cleaning hack which means she works “smarter, not harder.”
Christie, who is known as @christiestimson11 on TikTok, has revealed how she keeps her light grey patio slabs looking sparkling clean.
She explained that her mum gave her the idea after being at her “wits’ end”; on how to keep her patio clean “with a dog, children, grass, (and) mud.”;
Christie explains that she simply uses a mop and bucket, which she fills with Flash floor cleaner, along with bicarbonate of soda and boiling water.
Sharing a video of her demonstrating how it's done to her 3,501 TikTok followers, she shows how she uses a mop and the mixture to clean the patio slabs.
Christie explains that the process is “satisfying” and that it is “easy”; to “get all of the mud and dirt off of it.”;
She finishes the video by showing how clean the slabs look, before saying: “Work smarter, not harder, guys.”
Flash floor cleaner currently costs £2.25 from Sainsbury’s, whilst bicarbonate of soda currently costs £2 from Amazon.
However, you don’t need to use the entire packaging, so the cleaning mixture works out to be less than £1 a go.
Her video gained over 151,000 views, with 69 people rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One person asked: “Are they porcelain patio slabs?”;
To which Christie replied: “Yes, they are.”;
She mixes three different ingredients to make her ‘genius' cleaning mixture
A second person said: “This is actually genius if you have this style of patio.... I knew I would be too lazy, so I went with brick.”;
A third said: “Awesome! I use Fairy liquid on mine and it’s amazing! Doesn’t harm the grass either (my patio is flush to the grass).”;
