Pedestrian killed in horror crash named as 81-year-old woman after man, 23, arrested for ‘dangerous driving’

A WOMAN who died after being hit by a car on Monday in West Yorkshire has been named as 81-year-old Sheena McKerrell from Hebden Bridge.

Sheena was walking along Bridgehouse Lane in Haworth at around 5:35pm when she was struck by a vehicle and fatally injured.

A 23-year old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on bail.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who saw the collision at the junction of Ivy Bank Lane.
