Three killed after plane crashes into Nebraska river with wreck pulled from water as mystery surrounds deadly disaster

THREE people have died after a plane crash landed into a river in Nebraska.

Emergency crews were seen working overnight to try and find any survivors as harrowing images show the doomed wreckage being pulled from the water.

The plane was traveling along the Platte River before it plunged into the water south of Fremont at around 8:15 pm on Friday night.

Sgt. Brie Frank of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office confirmed three bodies were recovered along with the small plane.

Investigations are ongoing into the deadly smash with officials yet to confirm the identities of those killed.

The cause of the crash is also yet to be revealed.

The sheriff’s office said the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will now oversee the investigation.
