THE Players Championship takes place in Telford THIS WEEK!

A star-studded 16-player field featuring World No1 Judd Trump and world champion Kyren Wilson will take to the table.

Last year, Mark Allen took home the title after beating Zhang Anda 10-8 in a thrilling final.

Just three events remain on the calendar as the top 16 stars look to go into the blockbuster World Championship, which begins in April, in good form.

When is the Players Championship?

  • The Players Championship begins on Monday, March 17.
  • The tournament will conclude on Sunday, March 23.
  • Telford International Centre hosts the huge event.

Players Championship format

Matches are best of 11 from round one until the semi-finals.

The final will be played over two sessions, with the winner needing to get to 10 frames to take the title.
